Hey StreamX enthusiasts, we’ve got some big news to share! After months of hard work and fine-tuning, StreamX version 1.0.0 is officially here! This isn’t just another update—it’s our first General Availability (GA) release, marking a major step forward in building a reliable, scalable Digital Experience Mesh platform that’s ready to tackle real-world challenges.

But that’s not all. Alongside the GA release, we’ve packed in some great new features and updates that we can’t wait for you to explore. From an enhanced YAML configuration to new documentation resources and fresh examples, there’s plenty to dig into.

New sources definition in the StreamX Mesh

We’ve introduced a sources section in the StreamX Mesh YAML, providing a more structured way to manage external systems allowed to ingest into the Mesh. This optional section enhances flexibility and control over ingestion permissions.

Key Features

  • Defining Sources: The sources section specifies a list of external systems permitted to ingest into the StreamX Mesh.

  • Channel-Specific Ingestion: Each source includes a list of channels where ingestion is allowed, offering granular control over the flow of data.

  • Outgoing Section Mapping: Channels in the sources definition align with topic names in the inboxes namespace, ensuring consistency and seamless integration.

The reason It Matters

This new feature simplifies ingestion workflows and enhances security by explicitly defining allowed external sources and their respective ingestion channels. It’s particularly useful in multi-system environments requiring precise control over data ingress points.

Documentation

  • Release Policy Document: A new section detailing the StreamX release policy has been added. This document outlines the approach to versioning, module releases, and documentation management, providing clarity on how StreamX maintains an organized release cycle. It’s tailored to meet the needs of developers, client deployment processes, and public transparency. Read more.
