Marta Cukierman, StreamX co-founder, recently represented us at two CMS events co-located in Mallorca: the CMS Experts meeting and CMSCamp.
From September 27th to 29th, she shared StreamX's technological point of view with top minds in the field and discussed different ways to modernize content management systems.
At the CMS Experts Meeting, Marta introduced the community to StreamX's Digital Experience Mesh (DXM) technology. Her presentation, "Distributed, Event Driven and Stateful. How the Digital Experience Mesh redefines web architectures for scalability and performance," provided a deep dive into the core aspects of StreamX's technology.
Before the presentation
StreamX session topic
The presentation highlighted how the StreamX DXM solves common performance issues in modern CMS deployments with distributed architecture, event-driven model, and stateful design - where each service manages its own state, subscribing to specific event types and storing converted data locally for future use.
Marta provided concrete examples of how these features translate to real-world benefits:
Reduced network calls to back-end systems
Fewer services required to fulfill user requests
Decreased points of failure
Smaller security attack surface
Less reliance on caching layers
The conversation continued at CMS Camp, where the informal "unconference" format style let people dig deep into different CMS topics. Marta, along with our CTO Michał Cukierman, joined many sessions, including demos of platforms like Hygraph, CoreMedia, TYPO3, and Pimcore. These discussions provided an opportunity to discuss how our DXM technology could work together with current industry standards.
"The camp's format was new to me, but it proved to be an exciting and very democratic way to engage" Marta shared afterwards, highlighting how CMSCamp was filled with "on-the-spot sessions, valuable discussions, and lots of knowledge sharing."
This spontaneous format made the StreamX tech talk go way beyond the CMS Experts meeting. Marta, along with Adam Böhm, Division Director of ACTUM Digital, led two additional sessions on CMS integrations. The ideas from these talks are featured in Marta and Adam's article at Beyond CMS Substack.
The good response at both events has made us more sure that StreamX's approach to modernizing web architectures is both useful and important. We're excited to keep pushing what's possible in content delivery and look forward to sharing more updates as we bring these ideas to life.
